ABOUT US
The genesis of The Care Tree came from many moments. One important one was an open mic night and a decision to take up a pen and add poetry to the otherwise musical lineup. As those words hit the audience, the strength of thoughtful ideas, real life experiences, and the magic of showing you care resonated.
What we say can make such a difference!
Through poems and words, The Care Tree wants to help you show how much you care. With thoughtful gifts, real and sometimes raw but uplifting messages, words of encouragement and empathetic ways to say I Love You, we want to make the world—your world— a little better.
I Love You Like… started as a love poem for wedding vows. With the encouragement of a community of people who loved it and laughed at it, it is now an illustrated love poem that would be the perfect anniversary gift, birthday surprise, or just a thoughtful present to let someone know just how much you care.
Are you grown up enough now to realize your mom did a lot more than you realized? Is it kind of hard to tell your mom thanks for everything? Hi Mom is a good place to get started—it’s a sweet, thoughtful gift for mom, a way to acknowledge her sacrifices and look back at your shared experiences. “I took up room in your womb until you had to expand, and to have me you had to put a hold on your plans. I never stopped to ask if you could get back to them… but I did stop to ask if you could get me a happy meal. A lot.”
Several more illustrated poem books are in process—so check back in or check out the Sneak Preview page.
And while you’re at it, check out our awesome greeting cards. We designed them to be direct, with motivational messages and words of encouragement. They are a great way to break the ice and get really deep. Everyone wants to hear You Renew My Faith in Humanity. Plus a couple of them are pretty punny. In a good way.
We hope we can help you show you care! We know life is hard—and beautiful. It’s even better when we know we’ve got people who care.
And just so you know— we love you like a dumpster loves to stink.
